Pirata Group invites Hong Kong to end 2021 on a high note with special tasting menus now on offer at every restaurant for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve, counting down to 2022. 

After a remarkable year of challenges and growth, where diners adjusted to venues changing from Category A to B to C and beyond, guests can rest assured that as self-styled Category X venues, Pirata Group will fulfill every festive wish in a stylish ambiance across their collection of restaurants, with a few extraordinarily memorable surprises thrown in along the way. No limit on merrymaking; let the good times flow.

Holiday Menus at Pirata Group Category X Restaurants 

Pirata

X marks the spot for festive delights at flagship restaurant Pirata, where Italian feasts and wine pairings will be the order of the day over Christmas and New Year periods. Come with friends and family to enjoy `X-tra Honest` spreads of fan favourite Pirata dishes such as Vitello Tonato and Burrata, together with classic pastas like Grand Wagyu Beef Cheek Pappardelle and hearty seasonal mains including Terra-Marre (Butcher`s cut with whole Lobster) and X-mas Lamb Shank among other delights. Grand Tiramisu and Panettone round out the experience in the traditionally sweet manner. Set atop Wanchai in an atmospheric setting, savour three-course brunch menus from HKD428 per person and dinners from HKD590 per person (first seating on 24 and 25 December) with assorted Italian wine pairings to accompany your meal. It`s sure to be a most excellent occasion.

Tokyolima

Recent entrant into The World`s 50 Best Discovery list of restaurants, Tokyolima is ready to put on a culinary showcase for guests this festive season with X-tra Joyous Nikkei brunch from HKD498 per person and dinners from HKD580 per person. Curated by Peruvian Culinary Director Arturo Melendez, each holiday menu is a bountiful multi-course sensation of exotic signature dishes, from flavourful Small Plates such as the La Causa, T-3 salad and Just `Ceviche`, through to bombastic sharing dishes like the Maguro Nuevo with tuna, avocado, sesame, beetroot mayo and tobiko NS . Guests will welcome further indulgences like the Picanha, grilled rump steak covered in anticuchera sauce and sweet potato puree, Lobster Acevichada and the Secreto of TokyoLima, slow cooked `secreto` Iberico pork with sweet soy sauce and garlic chips; before concluding their festive dinner with a delightful selection of deserts including Oye Papi chocolate mousse and Free 4 You : a gluten free  orange & almond cake. With the buzzing izakaya atmosphere and other surprises planned by the Tokyolima team, holiday evenings here are can`t miss events.

Chaiwala

Chaiwala will be an X-tra Fiery backdrop for holiday celebrations, as the colourful Indian restaurant on Wyndham Street plays host to Christmas and New Year with its rich South Asian cuisine and character. Brunch ( HKD398 per person) and dinner menus (from HKD498 per person) start with signature Indian snacks and appetisers like Pani Puri with Jal-Jeera, Aloo Tikki Chaat and sumptuous Malabar Scallops, before tucking into a selection of smoky, charcoal-grilled meats and spiced vegetables fresh and hot off the Tandoori. Mouth-watering curries follow next including Kerala Fish Curry, the ever-popular Old Delhi Butter Chicken and Saag Paneer. All plates are made to be shared. The festival of flavours ends with a selection of Bollywood desserts to treat the sweet tooth of all who have gathered before the festive dancing begins. The Optimist

The Optimist invites guests to be X-tra indulgent this holiday season with the iconic venue`s Northern Spanish cuisine served across a generous variety of multi-course brunch and dinner tasting menus (from HKD498 per person). Festive feasts begin with aperitivo and a range of classic tapas from fresh and juicy Gambas `A La Plancha` and the crispy Chorizo `Txistorra` to flavourful Truffle Croquettes. Guests also have the option of adding the new Seafood Tower of king prawns, oysters, king crab legs and more for brunch, before tucking into Los Platos Principals. Main selections then include the tremendously popular Juicy Lobster Rice, the succulent Chateaubriand and the deliciously grilled Spanish-style Suckling Pig, amongst other fan favourites sure to put a wide grin on the face of everyone at the table.

Meats

Fans of X-tra Juicy cuts will find a holiday haven in MEATS where brunches and dinners full of succulent meats and treats await. Feasting on five-course Christmas tasting menus ( HKD380 per person for brunch and from HKD480 per person for dinner ), guests will enjoy lip-smacking starters like Smoked Pork Spare Ribs and Fish Tacos before hearty mains including the tender Porchetta surrounded with crisp, crackling skin and accompanied by romesco sauce, the nostalgia-inducing Roast Turkey basted in gravy sauce and cranberry jam, and the classic Beef Wellington in peppercorn sauce. Meats` staple Mo`s Millions served with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream brings a rich finish to the festive celebration.

Honjo

Looking to embark on an eXtraordinary journey for your holiday gatherings? Honjo is here to provide. Our striking modern Japanese restaurant is well suited to groups of diners with specially curated brunch and dinner menus, alongside wine pairings, coming for Christmas Eve, Day and New Year`s.


Through each menu (starting from HKD680 per person) the restaurant will showcase modern Japanese cuisine with multicultural influences. Festive highlights will include Wagyu Striploin with Yuzu dipping sauce, Hamachi served with ikura, watermelon radish and ginger ponzu, Wagyu Tataki with chorizo oil and crispy quinoa, Barramundi, and slow cooked Short Rib with red wine-miso daikon pickle. Menus will also feature a deluxe Nigiri and Sashimi Selection featuring premium seasonal seafood bounty and freshly shucked Scottish rock Oysters, before guests finish with desserts of Warm Chocolate Truffles and wine from Honjo`s 200-bottle-deep cellar.

TMK

It`s the first-ever festive season for TMK Rap & Rolls, as the Star-street based temakeria joins the punk-inspired TMK in Sheung Wan and the brand new TMK Funk & Rolls at The Sixteenth in Tai Koo in providing an X-tra Bold spread of brunch and dinner delights in a fun and edgy atmosphere for the holidays. From HKD348 per person, guests can dig into a lip-smacking range of sharing starters including Chicken Karaage, Wagyu Tataki and Cabbage Salad followed by a Sushi & Sashimi Selection or some of TMK favourite handrolls like Tuna Hotdog or Hamachi Tomato and then the delightful Dirty Banana and Monaka for dessert. Taking place within each venue`s alternative music-inspired interiors with the bombastic playlist to boot, a holiday spent at TMK Rap & Rolls or TMK Punk & Rolls will be one spent unlike anywhere else in the city.
