Pirata Group bring Italian delights to Kowloon Bay via Deliveroo Editions Kitchens
Now open and available to order: Pirata Group has launched two new delivery kitchens for its key brands – Pici Pasta Bar and The Pizza Project in Kowloon Bay. Starting 20 September 2021, residents and workers from San Po Kong to Kwun Tong and beyond will be able to enjoy fresh handmade Italian pastas and pizzas at a fair price, ordered through food delivery app, Deliveroo.
‘We welcome the opportunity to serve and delight another Hong Kong community with our signature Italian concepts Pici and The Pizza Project’, says Pirata Group CEO Manuel Palacio.’This marks the third Deliveroo Editions Kitchen for our team with Kowloon Bay joining Quarry Bay and Tuen Mun as additional districts, outside of our eight venue locations, where you can order your favourite pasta and pizza dishes without leaving your home or office.’
Pici Pasta Bar has grown to six restaurants in Hong Kong with an additional outpost to open in Tseung Kwan O by year`s end. The Pizza Project has two pizzerias, in Central and Wan Chai respectively. In addition to three Deliveroo Editions, both restaurants’ products are available at a Wong Chuk Hang kitchen. Overall, Pici`s market coverage is now at ten local locations and The Pizza Project six.
‘Both of these concepts offer authentic, well-made, Italian comfort food that can adapt to lunch, afternoon and dinner, for groups large and small,’ Pirata Group COO Michael Marlay explains. ‘The continued development of the greater Kowloon Bay area made it a natural choice for where we`d want to expand Pici and The Pizza Project`s footprint next.’

Deliveroo users ordering in Kowloon Bay can look forward to enjoying Pici signature pastas and homey Italian treats from HKD130. All pastas such as Tagliolini Truffle, Pappardelle Beef Cheek, Salmon Ravioli, Lasagna Classica are handmade fresh daily. The Pizza Project`s Margherita, topped with DOP mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil, is at HKD85. Other fan favourites such as Rustica, topped with pancetta and baked potato; Tonno e Cipolle, topped with tuna chunks and red onions; and the Instagram favourite, Carbonara, topped with pancetta and whole quail eggs, are all on the Deliveroo Editions menu. Limited-edition seafood pizzas `Crab & Sea Urchin` and `Tiger Prawn` pizzas , alongside chitarra prawn and smoked salmon pastas will also be available for the first two weeks of opening.
