Pirata Group: Pici and The Pizza Project expand to Tuen Mun via Deliveroo Editions
Group advances 2021 growth with expansion of key brands
Pirata Group announces the opening of more delivery kitchens for two of its core brands – pasta bar, Pici, and The Pizza Project. Starting 1 June 2021, Tuesday, Tuen Mun residents will be able to enjoy hand rolled pasta made fresh daily and delicious pizza at a fair price, ordered through food delivery app, Deliveroo.
`Our Italian concepts are robust, with Pici in particular welcoming half a million guests a year,` Pirata Group CEO Manuel Palacio shares. To date, Pici has six restaurants including the Kennedy Town branch on 55 Cadogan Street, which opened barely two weeks ago on 20 May.
The Pizza Project has two restaurants – the flagship on Peel Street and its first outpost on Star Street Precinct. The popular pizzeria serves over 1,000 pies daily.
In addition to brick and mortar restaurants, Pici and The Pizza Project are also available on the island east and southside via kitchens in Quarry Bay and Wong Chuk Hang, respectively. This increases Pici`s market coverage to nine locations and The Pizza Project`s to five locations.
`Both of these concepts offer authentic, well-made, Italian comfort food that can adapt to lunch, afternoon and dinner,` Pirata Group COO Michael Marlay explains. `Based on the popularity of Pici in Sha Tin, which welcomes as many as 600 guests daily, and the fact that Tuen Mun is one of the largest, most exciting residential areas in the New Territories, it was a natural pick on which to increase Pici`s and The Pizza Project`s footprint.`

Tuen Mun residents can look forward to enjoying Pici signatures from HKD130. All pastas such as Tagliolini Truffle, Pappardelle Beef Cheek, Salmon Ravioli, Lasagna Classica are handmade fresh daily. The Pizza Project`s Margherita, topped with DOP mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil, is at HKD85. Other fan favourites such as Rustica, topped with pancetta and baked potato; Tonno e Cipolle, topped with tuna chunks and red onions; and the Instagram favourite, Carbonara, topped with pancetta and whole quail eggs, are all on the Tuen Mun Editions menu.
