Hello Tseung Kwan O! – Beloved Pasta Bar, Pici, Opens 7th Hong Kong Branch

Launch marks Pirata Group`s 10th and final restaurant opening of 2021

Officially open, Pici Tseung Kwan O is ready to welcome guests with its signature hand rolled pasta made fresh daily. Coming on the back of Pici Kennedy Town`s launch in May 2021, Tseung Kwan O marks the pasta bar concept`s 7th Hong Kong branch, bringing its unique ethos of quality dining and Italian authenticity at great value to the southwest New Territories` burgeoning suburban dining scene.

Tseung Kwan O is one of Hong Kong`s most vibrant up-and-coming districts, a self-contained neighbourhood of new shopping, community, recreation and other local facilities set against the seafront. Tseung Kwan O suburbanites and its growing congregation of weekend cyclists, hikers, urban explorers, and family leisure seekers will find Pici along a leafy boulevard at O` South Coast, where they`re invited to enjoy Pici`s simple yet bold and flavourful pasta dishes.

Thanks to the continued support from the local dining community and the hard work of hundreds of team members, Pici has become the city`s most beloved neighbourhood pasta bar and has been able to expand to different areas of Hong Kong. Following its Wan Chai flagship, Pici successively opened in Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Lai Chi Kok, Sha Tin and Kennedy Town, alongside four delivery kitchens operating in Quarry Bay, Wong Chuk Hang, Tuen Mun and Kowloon Bay. Pici`s first overseas outpost also opened at the Jing An Kerry Centre in Shanghai in June 2021. All together, Pici feeds over 3,000 guests daily.

Pici Tseung Kwan O enters their new neighbourhood with a 1,485-square-foot, 57-seater venue, featuring the brand`s signature design elements – large, inviting windows that seamlessly weave al fresco and indoor ambiance while offering pet- and stroller-friendly seats; white marble counters; and an open kitchen that showcase pasta artisans at work. The familiar colour palette of blue, brown and chrome finishes accentuates the contemporary yet homey feeling of Pici.

In celebration of Pici Tseung Kwan O`s opening, the team lead by Pirata Group`s Italian Corporate Chef Andrea Viglione, Pici Executive Chef Davide Borin and Head Chef Aklesh Kumar have created three special dishes exclusive to the venue. These include the indulgently gooey Melted Truffle Provolone, cooked in the oven and served with a touch of oregano, paprika, and elevated with freshly shaved black truffle ; Tagliatelle `Frutti di Mare` – a celebration from the sea and an homage to the restaurant`s waterfront location; and Ravioli Quattro Formaggi (v) a Pici first, which begins with an intriguing, cocoa-infused pasta dough hand rolled into little pockets stuffed with ricotta cheese, served in a velvety sauce of rich Gorgonzola, taleggio and parmesan. Guests can end their meals with Pici`s iconic desserts of Tiramisu and Panna Cotta.

Director of Operations, Justin Tang, and Multi-Site Manager, Leonardo Pinos – both Pici veterans – are charged with day-to-day operations, ensuring this latest venture consistently delivers not only the experience guests have come to know and love through the years; but also the signature Pirata Group hospitality.

`To have opened 10 new restaurants through what has still been a challenging year for Hong Kong F&B takes a tremendous amount of effort from teams across our Group. We`re immensely grateful for our guests` support, delighted to bring a new Pici to the eastern side of Hong Kong, and look forward to seeing more smiles at our new home in Tseung Kwan O.`says Manuel Palacio, Co-founder and CEO of the Pirata Group.
